GIVING BACK

Let’s start as we mean to go on.

When Jonathan and Leah Hackney founded NeuroHealth in July 2023, their vision was not only to build a specialist neuropsychology service, but also to ensure the business gave back to the community that supports it.

From the very beginning, we made a deliberate commitment: a proportion of NeuroHealth’s annual profit will be donated to charity. This is more than a business choice — it’s a promise we made to each other and to our community, and one we intend to uphold as we grow.

We know that as a small business, our contributions may not be transformational in scale. But we believe even small acts of support can make a meaningful difference for the organisations working tirelessly across Aotearoa.

We’re deeply grateful to our clients and referral partners. Your trust in NeuroHealth enables us to extend care beyond the clinic and give back to our wider community — thank you.

  • In 2024, NeuroHealth supported Unseen Heroes, Aotearoa’s only organisation dedicated to young carers — rangatahi aged 25 and under who take on the responsibility of caring for whānau members. These young people are the unseen heroes among us: strong and resilient, yet often overlooked.

Through initiatives such as Te Ara Mārama and their free youth camps, Unseen Heroes provides connection, respite, and tailored support that strengthens mental health, education, and leadership pathways. Their mahi ensures young carers are not only supported in the present, but empowered for the future.

We are proud to have contributed to this kaupapa, helping Unseen Heroes continue their essential work across New Zealand.

  • In 2025, NeuroHealth chose to support Women’s Refuge Aotearoathrough their One Safe Night campaign. We were drawn to this kaupapa because, in our work, we often walk alongside women who have experienced family violence — whether in childhood or adulthood.

Supporting Safe Nights is one way we can contribute to providing shelter, safety, and dignity for families in need. Each $20 donation offers a woman and her children not just a place to stay, but warmth, food, and wraparound support during an incredibly difficult time.
